ABSTRACT
A signal is defined as any physical quantity that varies with time ,space ,or anyother independent variable .Signal may be in any form like images from remote space
probes, voltages generated by the heart and brain, radar and sonar echoes, seismic
vibrations, and countless other forms .Signal processing is any operation that changes the
characteristics of a signal into desired form .These characteristics include the amplitude
shape ,phase and frequency content of the signal .
