reducing bootup time in xp:
If you would like to speed up the bootup sequence, consider removing some of the startup applications that you do not need. Easiest way to remove startup apps is through System Configuration Utility. Go to Start MENU then click on Run and enter MSCONFIG and go to the Startup tab. check/UnCheck any application( S) that you do not want to startup at boot time.
