2nd way to protect folder using zip in windows xp:

To send the sensitive file, just Zip up the file and place a password to open it. Please perform the following instructions .

1. Go to the folder, Right-Click on the file, and select (Left-Click) on Compressed (Zipped) Folder, see Figure 1.
2. There will be a new file created with a .Zip suffix, see Figure 2.
3. Double-Click on the new .Zip file and select File à Add a password, see Figure 3 & Figure 4.
4. Make the password at least 8 digits containing numbers, letters, and not in the dictionary; press ENTER or Click OK.
5. Send the password and zip file in separate emails to your email recipient.
6. The email recipient will be prompted for the Password at the time of Extraction
